Only a few countries in the world can match the 4000 year history of wine making in Cyprus. Suffice to say the wine of Cyprus are paid homage in the Homeric poems and later appear in the Biblical epics and the story of the Crusades.

Today, Cyprus is proud to honour its unique place in the history of wine making, as the east Mediterranean's most successful producer, with flourishing local and export markets. KEO has played a leading role in the history of modern wine production since 1927 and maintains its position as the Island's largest producer and biggest industrial employer. The Company's commitment to the production of quality wines means our activities extend far beyond the boundaries of our modern winery in Lemesos, to the source of good wine... the vineyards.

For 70 years, KEO has been at the forefront of the research to preserve and upgrade unique local grape varieties, that have been cultivated on this Island since the dawn of civilization. This continuing endeavour is central to our mission to honour the heritage and tradition of wine making in Cyprus.
