OF CONTOLLED
ORIGIN SAMOS
For centuries Samos has been famous
for its dessert wines, most of which are exported.
REGION: The vineyard is situated on the northern side of the island
in a semi-mountainous region with gravelly, chalky soil.
VAREITY: Muscat.
TYPE: White, sweet.
CHARACTERISTICS: Wine of a straw-coloured yellow with golden highlights.
A rich floral aroma typical of the Muscat variety. A full and oily taste with
a good balance of alcohol and acidity, and a long aftertaste of fresh fruit,
caramel and honey.
FOOD PAIRINGT: Cheese, fruit, walnuts and most sweets. Served at a
temperature of 8° C.
