Goumenissa Boutari bears the name of the very important wine-producing region in Greece whence it originates. A favourite among connoisseurs.
REGION: Goumenissa.
VARIETY: Xinomavro and Negkoska.
TYPE: Red, dry.
AGING: Aged a minimum of one year in oak barrels.
CHARACTERISTICS: A rich aroma of ripe fruit, together with the long-lasting aroma of vanilla and smoke. Good structure, finesse. Soft tannins in the finish and a particularly long, pleasant aftertaste.
FOOD PAIRING: Served with roasted red meat and mild sauces as well as with soft cheeses.
